Woods Request
Woods is NOT having a good day at work. I think I have been thrown under the bus more times then Kev has tounged down both members of Ocean's (dry heave). So could someone please post something hysterical? I dont care if its a picture or a post or a list of the reasons why Kevin McCann is a hammer. Anything will suffice.
Thank you.
Woods- sitting at my desk thinking of a career change. Maybe the head golf pro at Stoneybrook?

Lambeau Weds Tom's Cousin.. Tom May Rejoin Champs
After a romantic wedding this past weekend between Gerry Lambeau and ex-Champs coach Tom's cousin, Bart, word has spread that Tom may rejoin the Champs after a tearful exit following the '07 season. Gerry often gets emotional when Tom's name comes up and this weekend was just as touching. TMZ reports Tom got back on Gerry's good side by holding up a picture of the Champs logo like John Cusack held up a boombox in "Say Anything." With the pic below, just put the Champs logo in his hands instead of the boombox.

Draft Day Blunders
Biggest Draft Day Blunders – Ed. 2
As the Commish only has draft data dating back to 2006 draft, we will determine the biggest draft day blunders since the 2006 draft (2006-2008 drafts are the only drafts included).
To be consistent with the previous year’s post, the following two points will be followed in the same manner as they were last year.
Note 1: Injury, at this point, would not make a player a bust...yet. However, lack of playing time, dressing for games, etc. would make a player a bust so far. Also, keep in mind that it is only 2009 (so most of these players would have only had one/two/three seasons to play so far) so it is quite unfair to judge them given their brief careers. But, we are going to do it anyway. Without further ado, the top 10 draft day blunders by the respective GOM league team.
Note 2: Donald Driver as Keep It's first rd pick in the circa 2003 draft will not make the list as the respective draft was prior to 2006 (and the GOM League Dynasty edition). And, if I may, Troy Williamson as the number 2 overall in the 2005 draft will not make the list for the same reason (career stats: 79 receptions, 1067 yards, 3 tds). If he was in the NFL for one season, he would not be on the list, but these stats are over a 3 year span. But, in retrospect, he had a good season in other ways - 0 fumbles.
Top 10 Draft Blunders (06-08 drafts to date)
Funny Honorable Mentions that should never be left off a List:
A. Will Franklin (24th Overall Pick, 2008 Draft, Black Knights) 7 receptions, 83 yards, 10 games with 0 catches, only 1 game where he exceeded one catch – 3 for 24 yds. Judging by the rest of the list, Will should not be included, and as such, is not. However, the real reason he made the list is because of his circumstances. Riggins gave away a 2009 first rounder for the rights for the 24th overall (mid-second round pick) where he took Franklin. Much like Renaldo Balkman being drafted by the Knicks in the 2006 NBA draft, Franklin was a flier in the 2nd round. There was a chance he would have gone undrafted in the GOM – a good chance! Was he a second round GOM talent? Absolutely not. Should he/is he still on a roster? (An emphatic) NO!
If memory serves, an annoyed Riggins told the other GOM members that ‘we will see’ regarding the drafting of Will Franklin. He was right. We did see. I just do not think ‘we saw’ in the way he intended. The point is the kid did not deserve to be drafted here or maybe at all. But, is he a bust? No. I just had to call Riggins on this.
B. Tatum Bell (14th overall pick, 2008 Draft, Team Dime). This is funny for one reason. He was drafted in the GOM and subsequently got cut (this happens all the time in GOM drafts; see list below). But that is not the funny part. The hilarious part is that when he found out he got cut, he stole Rudi Johnson’s (his replacement) luggage. It was subsequently returned, but with missing credit cards, and other valuables. Shady, you bet. Bell did not return to action until late in the 2008 season with his former team – the Broncos – possibly because of the stigma surrounding this theft.
Now, for the list:
10. Dwayne Jarrett (9th overall, 2007 draft, Nators) Excerpt from 2008 edition [7 games, 6 receptions, 73 yards. Can you say Mike Williams? But on the positive side, 2 of his catches did go for first downs.] 2009 addendum: 10 catches, 119 yards in his second season. 4th on the depth chart. Dwayne is not a viable starter in any fantasy league, never mind the GOM. In addition, the only reason he would be on a roster is because of his ‘upside’ which may or may not exist. If Jarrett was a late second rounder or third rounder, he would not be on the list. But, these stats are unacceptable from a first round GOM talent.
9. (13th on the list last year) Matt Leinart (3rd overall, 2006 Draft, ID4s) Excerpt from 2008 edition [Matt would not be on the list as his 07 season ended with injuries. However, his inspirational 07 campaign racked up 2 tds and 4 int. To make matters much worse, he was splitting time with a 500 year old Kurt Warner. Not exactly what you would expect/hope from the 3rd overall and ID4's franchise QB. He is, however, hanging out with Lachey and other 20 year old hotties. So, I guess life is not so bad. Of course, football is another story.] 2009 addendum: Matt lost the starting quarterback job during the 2008 season to Kurt Warner and the team proceeded to play in the superbowl. At the moment, the Cardinals are looking to re-sign Warner (who is contemplating retirement). Matt only played in 4 games during the 08 campaign, 3 of which were in weeks 15, 16 and 17 when the Cardinals had already wrapped up the division and a playoff berth. During 2008, Matt completed 15 of 29 for 264, 1td, 1int and had a composite passer rating of 80.2. Carson Palmer – he is not. Matt Cassel – he is not. A starting GOM quarterback – he is not. A backup GOM quarterback – he should not be.
8. Earl Bennett (25th pick overall, 2008 draft, Frizz’s Boys) No catches, no yards, 1 punt return for 17 yards. That is just piss poor, Earl. The only reason Earl is not further down this list is because he was taken in 2008 and there is a chance he could end up being a decent player. Most of his following list-mates are in their second and third seasons and are still not producing. The exception is number 6.
7. David Clowney (37th overall, 2007 draft, Lakeshow) Excerpt from 2008 edition [- no stats available - I feel like this guy was cut in training camp.] 2009 addendum: 1 catch, 26 yards for the Jets during 2008. This man is making progress! And, he was actually on a team for the whole season during 2008!
6. Danny Amendola, (pick 38, 2008 Draft, ID4s) No stats available. Amendola was undrafted in the NFL draft, cut by Cowboys, and picked up by Eagles. Did Russ see something no one in the GOM saw? Did he see something no one in the NFL saw? According to the Commish, Russ is the most prepared GOM GM of them all. He comes with a spreadsheet of players that includes their colleges, combine results i.e. 40 yard dash times, bench press, etc. Not only did Amendola make Russ’s cheat sheet, he was actually drafted in the third round of the GOM draft despite not being taken in the 7 rounds of the NFL draft.
5. Skylar Green (27th overall, 2006 draft, Hangin) Excerpt from 2008 edition [Dressed for 9 games in two seasons (one with Dallas, one with Cincinattica) and had 3 receptions.] 2009 addendum: Dressed for two games in 2009 with New Orleans in weeks 16 and 17. He had zero receptions, 4 kick returns and a fumble. Looks like Skylar will be looking for a new home come the 2009 season.
4. Travis Wilson (2006 draft, pick 30, RyKCo.) Excerpt from 2008 edition [Played 4 games in 2006 with 2 receptions; was out of the league by the first game in 2007.] 2009 addendum: Still out the league in 2008.
3. Will Blackmon (Pick 39, 4th rd, Hangin w/Mr. Dawley). Excerpt from 2008 edition [When you go to the yahoo website player stats, he has no offensive stats. The GOM does not care about defensive players.] 2009 addendum: He still plays defense as far as I know.
2. Zach Hilton (Pick 17, 2006 Draft, Dawlinators). Excerpt from 2008 edition: [Has not played since 2005 when he had 35 receptions for 396 yards and a td. He also missed the 2004 season, but played in 3 games in 03 tallying 0 statistics.] 2009 addendum: Still does not play.
1. Priest Holmes (27th overall, 2007 draft, Off in the Woods) Excerpt from 2008 edition [46 rushes, 137 yards, 0 tds, RETIRED: 11/21/07.] 2009 addendum: Still does not play.
Excerpt from 2008 edition [Funny note: Chad Jackson was taken in 2006 by the Black Knights in the first round at selection 9 and caught 13 passes for 152. A year later he was drafted again (cut to free agency prior to the 2007 draft) by Off in the Woods in the fourth round at selection 44 and had 0 receptions.] 2009 addendum: In the following year, Chad was drafted again (cut to free agency prior to the 2008 draft) by Chuckie’s Champs at selection 51. So, I pose this question: why does this player continue to be cut and re-drafted every year? Is it because he is a Patriot (and the GOM has a majority of Patriot fans? Or, is it because Chad is the super talent that only the GOM notices? Are GOM GMs more observant than NFL GMs? Why does this man continue to be on a GOM roster?
Keep it..........on the hush.

Woods Wants a Deal
Im so bored today and just want a deal. Was thinking about offering Dime Duece for Boldin, Moss, Gates, and his first round picks for the next 65 years
Guns Hire Security Crew

Mirimar CA- Top Guns President Pete Mitchell announced the team has come to terms with a 3man security crew that will accompany the team on all trips. The crew, pictured above, is led by retired Detroit Detective Axel Foley. Foley will join retired Beverly Hills Detectives Billy Rosewood and John Taggart on all team trips, including book signings, trophy presentations, and of course gamedays. Mithcell noted the trio's outstanding track record, as well as their ability to keep the clubhouse full of humor (see the banana in the tailpipe, and Foley's ridiculous laugh)

Breaking News: Crabtree to go #1
Since no football news has been on here lately, Walton has already made his pick. Michael Crabtree will be a Nator and go first overall. It doesn't matter if he goes to the Keefe Tech Unicorns, he will be in blue, white, & gold next fall for the GOM's most dominant franchise.

BK Owned by Walt... Seeks revenge
The Black Knights held their annual off-season team bbq today and this pic was snapped of Tim Riggins. Apparently he & Walt got in a bit of a tussle on a (directly down-sloped) street near Holy Cross' campus. Riggins accepted the verbal and physical beatdown and tried his hand at flirting with HC's finest "ladies" before being stiff-armed numerous times by them. He then puked his brains out and conveniently passed out nude on Oceans bed.-w.w.
