In that pic below, that clarinet is dangerously close to Sir Charles' asshole. With one hand on the pin and the other on the instrument, I'm pretty happy I didn't see what happened after the photoshoot. Keep gaying it up Charlie

GOM Rankings Question
Hey Walton -
I just ran through your Pre-Draft rankings but only got to #5. It was then that I realized you ranked Off's team based on the number of wins he's accumulated over the past 2 years rather than using the actual ranking system.

Pre-Draft Team Rankings
With the GOM Draft months away and the NFL Draft just 1 month away, let's take a look at who is heading into the draft with solid teams. Here are the pre-draft team rankings:
1.) Keep It
2.) Co
3.) Hangin
4.) Frizz
5.) Off in the Woods
6.) Dawlinators
7.) BTR
8.) Top Guns
9.) team dime
10.) Oceans 17
11.) ID4's
12.) Charles
13.) Black Knights
14.) Lakeshow
There aren't any elite teams that are much better than everyone else right now (although I'm positive some of you disagree - no Hangin isn't the best team) so the rankings could be adjusted a tiny bit after the draft. Right now, Keep It is the best team put together and on the other end of the spectrum, Lakeshow is clearly the worst. For those of you on the bottom of the rankings, there's no denying the amount that your teams suck. Age, lack of talent, and lack of draft picks are contributors. Charles is the only team in solid position right now at the bottom. Feel free to throw stats at me all you want but you would just be in denial.

You're on trial. You're sitting there testifying, and the GOM wants a freaking answer from you. Did you, or did you not take down the Meredith Brooks IPOD poll question?

The Oakland Raiders have had a closed door meeting to discuss the plans with RB Michael Bush (former 'Nators 1st rounder). The talks ended with an agreement that will move Bush to OLB for the '09/'10 season. Since Michael really didn't have a spot anywhere else on the field, the two sides are happy with the decision"

Nators Backup QB Cut; Walton Fined for Removing Polls from Website

In other news, Willy Walton has reportedly been fined a Second Time this week for allegedly taking down a GOM Poll that asked participants what songs they thought could be found on his IPOD. The list included Enrique Iglesias's hit "Bilamos" and Meredith Brooks' Number 1 single from 1997, "Bitch."

S my D
You attack my franchise, I attack yours and essentially win the argument, and you post pictures of some dyke and say I banged my brother in a bathroom stall in Worcester. I don't really know how you want me to respond to that. Stealing Chuck's material is one thing (he's the lesbian picture poster), but tiptoeing out of an argument you started sure makes BK look like a total puss bag. Look Riggins, you suck at fantasy football alright? I donno how to break it to you but I guess I just did. You often refer to good "clubhouse guys" when in fact they are part of a Yahoo! database and then talk about my stud Lions RB being on the worst NFL team ever like that somehow takes points off of his stats. So I offer you a few pieces of advice here:
1.) Study fantasy football.. understand how it works.
2.) Get a hold of yourself, you're starting to remind me of Gary Busey.
3.) Start hitting the weights.. I owned you on the hills of Holy Cross.

Report: Walton, Champs Fined by Commish Office
AP Reports that Willy Walton and Gerald Lambeau have been fined an undisclosed amount by the Commissioner's Office for "Lack of Enthusiasm" and "Etrocious Titling of a Post."
Though Gerald responded with a thunderous boom to his previously unenthusiastic post to report a trade, Walton remains mum following his post titled "End it." He's probably in a daze, wondering how 365 was able to find pictures of him with Anne Heche and the lady that sings "Come to my Window."

BREAKING NEWS: DIDDLER'S PARTNER IDENTIFIED
Willy "The Diddler" Walton and his secret "partner" were caught during a surefire steamy diddle session between the two inside the Irish Times Mens Bathroom stall in Worcester, MA last night. Questions arose about Walton's mysterious partner following questions on whether or not he himself was a man or woman. Pictures identify it as a....

well, we're actually still not sure. Diddles' partner was identified as Gordon Bombay, former Duck coach and current Off in the Woods General Manager.
This would certainly explain Walton's recent praise of the franchise that's won just 5 games in its first two years of existence, including a 2007 team that will go down in history as the worst team in the 8 year history of the league.

End It.
I haven't read your little team analysis there of my team yet, but I'm sure it's amazing. I just wanna say I'm flattered that you think of my team so often, that I'm the only team you keep a regular season record in hand against since 2005, and that I'm a team you can look up to and strive to be like. You spend more time thinking of Walton and writing novels about how you beat me week 3 in 2002 than you do on your own crap team. Basically what I'm trying to say Riggin is this: I don't give a flying F if I was 0-59 against you in this league's history, I would still tell you to shine my shoes because I am a 3 time GOM champion. You are not... so shut it.
Team Preview 2009: The Dawlinators
Though Walton viewed his team's collapse in 2008 as just that, this writer called it from day one. The team wasn't good, and his final record and lottery pick proved that. So lets take a look at Walton's 2009 roster. One can only imagine who he'll select in the draft...as his previous first round picks were Michael Bush and Dwayne Jarrett.
QB1
Tony Romo - has proven consistently that he can put up numbers, but when push comes to shove, he chokes. He also just lost his best wide receiver. But they have good depth at that position, with Matt Jones, former Arkansas QB waiting in the wings in case something happens to Romo. The Knights aren't blessed with as much depth...but who is. They only employ a perennial pro-bowler in Carson Palmer and one of the best young QB's in the game in Matt Cassell. Advantage Riggins
RB's
Ryan Grant and Michael Bush don't even deserve to be mentioned on this blog. I'd actually compare Russ keeping Matt Leinart to the Nators continuing to employ a second string fullback on their roster. Kevin Smith had a good year before hitting the rookie wall....he was also the starting RB for the worst team in the history of professional football. Leon saves the bait here...probably because he was a former Black Knight and consistenly puts up 10 points whenever he's on the field, just like Felix Jones and Darren Sproles do. Advantage Riggins
WR
With the exception of Colston (7 catches in 2008), this may be the worst corps in the league. Jones should be suspended, Harry Douglass doesn't actually exist, Limas Sweed is on a team?, and Santonio Holmes has won the award for most overrated talent ever to wear a GOM Uniform. The guys been traded about 10 times because every year's going to be his breakout year...except for the one when he's on a roster. Camarillo had more catches than Holmes in '07 despite missing the final 5 games due to injury. Driver completed his mmth consecutive season with 70 plus catches and over 1000 yards, and Branch returned to form after coming back from injuries in the final weeks of the season, something that Colston didn't do, despite coming back from injury. Harvin or Maclin should be as productive, if not more productive than Crabtree in the GOM because they're more versatile and can return kicks. Advantage TR/#33/RB A of the Dillon Panthers Football Program/GM of the Knights
TE
Dallas Clark is flat out better than Owen Daniels, and its not even close. Advantage Riggins
K
You recently offered a 2nd and 3rd round draft choice for the Knights kicker. That about answers it. Advantage Riggins
Career Record v. The Black Knights
2-3. Walton is batting .400 against the Knights in his career. Though that will get you a hall-of-fame bid in baseball, it falls short of the .600 winning percentage Riggo and crew have against Waltonsteinberg. Advantage Black Knights Football.

Teams below rock bottom:
Black Knights - With Greg Camarillo and Josh Morgan leading the way this year, I'm not seeing many W's for the BKs this year. Has EASILY the worst WR corp in the league, has 9 RB's all under 5'5", and has a coach that basically needs to relax and figure everything out. Riggins has been fairly "tense" since last offseason and it has really affected his team's performance. We'll see who he takes at #3 in the first round, but unless it's J. Christ, this team should just start praying for 1 win in '09.

Hey Walton
I read through your recent teams on the rise post more than once, and saw zero mention of the Black Knights. This must be a mistake - so I'll presume your ass is already signed back into 365 making mention of this team and their promise during the 2009 season.

GOM Teams
Teams on the rise:
Charles' Champs - I like the recent deal for Sir Charles getting Boldin & 85.. With young stud rb's, a top TE, and solid WRs, this squad is a team to look out for in the future. Chuck is back... back big.
Keep It - 1st ballot Walton Hall of Fame GM, Keep It has always been in the mix. I put him on this list because his team is full of young talented players. If Keep It doesn't win a title in the next couple of years, I'd be shocked.
Dawlinators - It's true. Get used to it.
Off in the Woods - Really? The team that has a career record of 1-119 is a team on the rise? With McNabb, Welker, Jennings, Braylon, Ginn, & B Jacobs leading the way, Bombay actually might make the playoffs this year. (I found an old e-mail a few months ago of Woods telling Commish before he even entered the league that he guaranteed a title within 3 years...well year 3 is this year so good luck with that Gordon)
Oceans - Usually, Oceans puts up 180 points one week and then 14 the next. Donnie Avery would have 2 catches for 600 yards and they would win. This year, it will be a different story. After some good moves, this team has a homosexual QB leading the way, Housh, Steve Jackson, & William Parker.. a good WR pick at 5 will help them a lot. Don't mess that up ladies
Teams going downhill:
ID4s - Old as hell, no RB depth, lack of intelligent coaching methods, puts personal feelings into too many decisions... Russ needs to take a long look in the mirror and find out who the ID4s really are because I don't see this team EVER winning a title.
team dime - I hate this team. I honestly think this is not a playoff team... He has big names but names don't win titles, team performance does. Dime's never had the talent and coaching to win and this year will certainly not be any different.
Lakeshow - I simply don't know what the hell this team is about. I don't even know how to describe them... with ZERO first round picks and a serious lack of talent, I'd be surprised if this team puts up 800 total points. A few years ago, this was a squad on the rise.............not anymore - without a doubt the worst team in the league.
Frizz - Yeah I said it.. Frizz is going downhill. With many heartbreaking losses and 0 titles, some changes may need to be made. I don't see a title team this year and Frizz's ways have not worked in the past, so he may need to re-think his coaching methods in order to win that elusive GOM championship that only 4 members have won.

Leinart acquired in lopsided deal.

Nick Lachey announced this morning that future HOFer Matt Leinart was acquired via trade for mercurial RB Cedric Benson. The move was long anticipated for a Dime franchise that has coveted Leinart since he came out in the 2006 NFL Draft. The team believes they've found their franchise QB, a guy who can step in and take over after newly implemented Kurt Warner retires.
The GM had no comment regarding their deal with the Champs other than to say Q [Boldin] was the cornerstone of their offense in '08 and that Ocho Cinco tanged out so he got shipped out. The team is expected to select RB Knowshon Moreno in this year's GOM Draft to replace the void left at RB2.

Russell's Back
Thank goodness I was on the first floor of the DR resort. The beach was crowded, I decided to take a nap on Traditional Landscape cut lawn. Both of these pictures seemed to capture me the day that Terrell was released. When you become emotionally attached to your players, transactions in the NFL effect the GM as well. The fact of the matter is this, Terrell has been named the '09/'10 team captain for the ID4's. In the past, I spent 365 days on the ID4's... the trip allowed me to take my first vacation since the beginning of the Get Off Me league. Although my eyes may have been closed, the trip opened them, we will once again compete for a GOM championship.

Matthew Jones.
Jones got arrested for violating his plea agreement this time for having a beer with friends during a golf round... Once I heard he was arrested, I had the paperwork ready to drop him and go into the draft with 12 guys but then realized he only drank beer and forgave him. If I find out he did more, he'll be dropped in a heartbeat. For now, he's still in Walts dog house and is somehow behind Limas Sweed now on the depth chart. This guy sure is a friggin moron though

GOM Mock Draft 1.0
Today, we'll be releasing the first installment in our series of mock drafts leading up to the GOM Draft. All players have declared, the Combine is over and barring trade, GOM rosters have been set. I'll stick to just a top 10 mock to avoid the watered-down analysis of the late round picks that results this early in the off-season. Also, since the NFL free-agent market is still sorting itself out, I'll exclude non-rookies from consideration.
1. Nators - Michael Crabtree, WR: I wouldn't expect any surprises with this pick, unless another prospect landed in an ideal fantasy situation in the NFL. Crabtree has the biggest upside in this draft. And, even though he didn't measure out well at the Combine, he's still in the mold of a Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson.
2. Champs - Knowshon Moreno, RB: Sources close to the team have this pick being heavily shopped, and it makes sense for the organization if they intend to bring in an elite WR. Derrick Ward's signing in Tampa gives the team some flexibility at RB, and shifts their immediate attention to the WR position. From a value standpoint, this #2 slot should be a RB, and the NFL draft will go a long way in determining which back comes off the board first.
3. Knights - Jeremy Maclin, WR: This pick is another candidate to be traded before the draft in order for the team to bring in a proven playmaker at WR. If it's kept, Riggs must fill a need over best available and select Maclin. He's eerily similar to the game-breaking DeSean Jackson if put in the right situation, with even better receiving skills coming out of college, and currently grades out as the best WR on the board behind Crabtree.
4. Nators - Chris Wells, RB: If Beanie falls to this spot, the Nators will have walked away with, arguably, the best WR and RB in the draft. Walton would be ecstatic with this selection as there's no question this pick is slated to be a RB. Wells assumes to be a very solid, albeit not very flashy, back at the next level. He'll be a very good producer who will bolster the current Nators RB corps.
5. Oceans - LeSean McCoy, RB: Danny and Co. may have found themselves a gem at #5. I see McCoy being a cross between Chris Johnson and Felix Jones, and when all is said and done in '09, he just might end up being the most valuable rookie of the season. The team could look at WR here, but with the success of last year's RB class, it's hard to pass on a potential flex monster.
6. Frizz - Percy Harvin, WR: This will be a very interesting pick in the draft. Everyone should be taking a page from Frizz's book when it comes to the draft process. He has molded his franchise around running backs, and rightfully so, but with seven on the current roster, it seems apparent he'll be targeting a wideout. Harvin is a dynamic player who could step in and fill the void at WR/TE as he would round out the starting roster nicely. However, don't expect one of the first three RBs to fall past this spot because Frizz always goes with the true value pick.
7. Champs - Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR: I don't know much about this guy, but from everything I've read he'll start his career as a project. However, some scouts feel he has the best physical tools of any WR in this class and could develop into a legit #1 WR in the NFL. With the developing youth on the Champs roster, Hummmm Gerry Lambeau has the luxury of waiting a few years on this guy.
8. Keep It - Andre Brown, RB: A WR would make sense here, but I'm just not sold on anyone left on the board. A free-agent WR who lands in a nice starting situation could also be an option, but for now I see Keep It taking a chance on an upside RB. Brown has the frame of an every-down back in the NFL, has nice hands out of the backfield and should turn out to have a more productive pro career than he did at NC State. I could also see the team moving out of this pick for a solid veteran WR or packaging it to move up and get one of the top rookie WRs.
9. Hangin - Hakeem Nicks, WR: This pick will likely turn out to be a bust, but since Hangin's roster is loaded, he can take a chance on a rookie WR and hope to strike gold. Again, I know very little about this guy other than what I've read, but it appears he's the next best available at the position. The more likely scenario for Hangin' here is to test the free-agent market and acquire a spot-starter. Also, don't rule out Stafford or Sanchez after the trade of backup Kurt Warner.
10. Top Guns - Shonn Greene, RB: Greene is likely to be a situational runner in the NFL, but if he gets drafted by the right team, he could become a serviceable flex guy. The Guns are set at RB1 & 2, but Earnest Graham's value took a hit when the Bucs signed Derrick Ward. Greene could eventually fill that role for the defending champs.
-Dime

Co. Turning Into 4's??
Brandon Marshall - arrested 4th time since March 2006 this weekend
Marshawn Lynch - arrested twice in last 9 months
Chris Henry - level 14 sex offender, has been arrested more times than TD's caught... may or may not be alive
Mario Manningham - arrested April 2007
Since the 4's have turned from felons to the oldest team in fantasy sports history, sure looks like Co is picking up where Russ left off.

P.S. no cheap shots at Matt Jones for Nators, it's cool... he's white.
